Why it exists
Golf etiquette books exist; most read like homeowners' association minutes. In Good Standing is written the way the knowledge is actually passed — deadpan, specific, and slightly amused — covering the clubhouse, the course, the member-guest, and every situation where the rules are unwritten precisely so that someone can enjoy watching you break them.
It grew out of the same reporting as the weekly newsletter — expanded, organized, and printed on paper worth keeping on the shelf by the door. And somewhere in its pages, a cipher, with one correct answer.
